We are looking for a passionate, solutions-driven Maternal Child Health (MCH) Advisor to join our force for humanity in Uganda.
The Role As the MCH Advisor, you will provide strategic leadership and technical guidance to strengthen maternal, newborn, and child health programs. You will work closely with government counterparts and donors to ensure high-quality, integrated health services and sustainable system strengthening.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership: Design and implement MCH activities (ANC, safe delivery, PNC, and nutrition) aligned with national policies and global best practices.

Capacity Building: Provide mentorship and training to health workers and program staff on IMNCI, ICCM, and newborn care.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Analyze program data to identify gaps, measure progress, and document lessons learned for adaptive management.

Partnership & Coordination: Represent the IRC in national technical working groups and collaborate with the Ministry of Health and global donors.
Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, or Midwifery.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in managing MCH or reproductive health programs in low/middle-income countries.

Expertise: Demonstrated facility- and community-based technical knowledge.

Communication: Strong analytical and presentation skills; fluency in English is required.
