UMC Victoria Hospital is hiring a Laboratory Technician with the following duties and responsibilities;
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a competent Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations by collecting, processing, and analyzing patient samples while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens.
Perform routine laboratory procedures and tests.
Maintain laboratory equipment and workstations.
Record and report laboratory findings accurately.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention and biosafety protocols.
Manage laboratory supplies and inventory.
Support quality assurance activities within the laboratory.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification.
Valid professional registration and practicing license where required.
Experience in a healthcare laboratory is an added advantage.
Good technical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
